Neon & Nude Leopard print

Hey,

I was having a bit of play with new Nails Inc. Neon pink nail polish today and came up with this leopard print design which I love:

Despite looking very intricate the steps to achieving this gorgeous look are actually very simple, but at the same time very effective. So I would show you step by step how I did it:

1.  First you need to apply a base coat to your nails, if like me there are not in the best condition, but also it is a good way to ensure your design will last longer and come off more easily.

I use Nails Inc. Kensington Cavier base coat which dries really quickly
2.  Then you need to apply 2 coats of your favourite nude colour polish, nude polishes are very individual as only certain shades will work with your skin tone, depending on how much red or yellow they contain:

1 coat of Boots 17 "Supreme Shine 10 day wear" polish in "Mink"

The 2nd coat makes it completely opaque

3.  After that has dried you need to take the brightest colour nail polish you can find, I chose to use my new Nails Inc. neon colour called "Notting Hill", and randomly dab it all over the nail, making sure to make big and small marks on the nail, if you are following a pattern like me then just do part of the nail but for a high impact design do this over all of the nail plate:

4.  After this you need to get either a black nail art pen like the "WAH Nails" one from Models Own or any black nail polish and a small brush or dotting tool, and create little "C" shapes around the coloured blobs you created previously. Also do lines down both sides of the blobs to create a more leopard effect, and then draw random black blobs in between the pink ones.

The Models Own pen comes with a dotting end
which is perfect for this technique

5.  Once you have completed all of your nails you can top coat them, again I use Nails Inc Kensington Caviar Top Coat, as it came in box set with the base coat, and also dries in 45 seconds which is great!

NB - You can buy Nails Inc. polishes from here, Models own nail art pens are available here and Boots 17 polishes are available here.

NNB - I hope you have enjoyed my little tutorial and leave me a comment below if you tried it out with these colours or any other ones. If you want some inspiration for different colours to use check out some swatches I did, playing with my other colours:

Using a lighter shade base polish instead of the nude creates a bigger impact

Using glitter polish instead of the neon or using multiple colours also works well

Alternative bright colours to the neon pink work well on the nude base

Thanks for stopping by my little piece of the internet, let me know if you give any of these designs a try.

Love

Jude xXx
